What is high potential and gifted education?
High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.
We do this through:

Debating
Kentlyn Public School proudly participates in the Premier’s Debating Challenge, giving students the opportunity to build confidence, think critically, and speak with purpose. Our teams demonstrate commitment, teamwork and impressive persuasive skills.
Inquisitive Minds Maths Workshop
Our high potential mathematicians take part in the Inquisitive Minds – “Out of the Box” Workshop, collaborating with students from local schools to tackle engaging, hands-on problem solving challenges that stretch and enrich their thinking.
Growing Musicians at Kentlyn Public School
At Kentlyn Public School, students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, building confidence, creativity and performance skills as part of our enriching arts program.
Code Camp
Students stretch their creativity and problem-solving skills through Code Camp, using design, code and logic to build their own games in a fun, hands-on environment.
Sporting Opportunities
Kentlyn Public School offers a wide range of sporting opportunities, encouraging students to stay active, build skills and enjoy teamwork through regular sport, school carnivals and representative pathways.
Spelling Bee
As part of our enrichment opportunities, students participate in the Premier’s Spelling Bee, extending their vocabulary, spelling accuracy and confidence through friendly competition.
